About
First, let me say WELCOME to the “From the Back Row” blog site. Thanks for checking it out!
From the Back Row (FBR) was created to help fill a void that we all seem to fall victim to here in the greater Dulles area. In speaking with a lot of people, it seems we all struggle to find time, beyond the traditional Sunday morning service, to interface with God. Personally, I don’t think it is a conscious decision not to meet God on a daily basis. It’s just that schedules, commutes, travel, family obligations and other distractions, make it extremely difficult. That said, I believe we all crave closeness with God, regardless of how far away we may be at this point in time. FBR is a technology tool that is flexible enough to give you access to thoughts from people just like you and me. It supports an active conversation with other people that are unpacking Jesus’ message and striving to implement the teachings of Jesus on a daily basis. My goal is to present a “non churchy” view of the real Jesus and to compel you to engage (even if it is anonymously). To actively engage! That said, FBR is NOT a replacement for Church but a compliment. With access from anywhere and at any time, I hope FBR helps you to meet God on a regular basis. But it takes effort on your part. Subscribe to the blog by clicking “Sign me up” on the left hand side of the blog frame and entering your email address. That way you will automatically be notified when a new blog posting is up and ready for discussion (usually a new weekly posting is up on Tuesday night). And feel free to post comments…in fact, it is your comments and the discussion around such that will make the blog a success!
Thanks again for coming to the site and I look forward to growing closer to God with you.
Peace and Blessing,
From the Back Row
